Write for us
We welcome pitches that help curious readers approach live music with more confidence and attention. A strong contribution has a clear subject, a useful point of view and advice a reader can try without specialist knowledge.
What we are looking for
Propose an original piece about concert preparation, listening, concert spaces, performance customs or ways of remembering a musical evening. We are interested in clear explanations, thoughtful comparisons, well-framed histories and practical ideas that do not depend on a particular venue or local rule. Keep the focus narrow enough to explore well.
A useful pitch
Tell us the working idea, who it may help and what the reader will take away. Explain how your piece differs from a general overview, and note any specialist terms or factual claims that will need careful explanation. We cannot consider pitches built on invented experience, unsupported claims or advice that requires professional or local-rule checks.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Please pitch the idea rather than sending a complete article unless a draft has been requested. A submission is not a promise of publication.
